UW student groped on Burke-Gilman
A female University of Washington student was groped while on the Burke-Gilman Trail Saturday afternoon.
Police say the victim was near Pend Oreille Road when a man who was acting erratically approached her tried talking to her. He then lunged at her, grabbing her breasts, police said.
The woman ran back to her home and called a relative, who then called UW police an hour later. The woman was not injured.
As UW police were checking the scene looking for the man, Seattle police received a report of a similar attack north of the campus by a man with a similar description.
The man was described as in his 20s with a light complexion, curly reddish-blonde hair, wearing a puffy orange colored jacket and sunglasses with green frames. He had a thin build and was about 5 feet 10 inches tall. Anyone with information about the attack or suspect is asked to call the UW police department at 206-685-8973.
